I woke up early and it seemed as if I was the first to be awake in the whole beach. I did a walk around the beach and took some garbage bags with me. I collected a lot of plastic garbage, which locals did not care for, and deposited them in the garbage bins.

Due to rain forecasted we decide to spend a day in Kobas and visit Ston, a small town with an impressive fortress and a unique wall. The wall surrounded the town but also connects Ston with Mali (small) Ston on the other side of the peninsula. These two towns had to be strategically and commercially important in the old times as the wall is quite long and winds up a steep hill. The main business used to be salt prduction. The salinas are still in operation and you may buy original salt from Ston in some shops. Our host from Kobas told us that Mali Ston is also famous for its oyster farms and strawberry production.

After probably 40 years back to Dubrovnik area. I admit, I cannot remember anything but I am somehow nervous. Together with my good friend and waterproof sailing mate Wolfgang we arrive in Dubrovnik in the afternoon. We take a taxi to the yacht harbor north of Dubrovnik. The yacht harbor is located at a sea inlet and is perfectly sheltered against most winds.
